you render it, and we could do somethinglike what were going to do for BWO were there are four diferent interface packs high-res high-bandwidth, low-res high-bandwidth, high-res low-bandwidth, and low-res low-bandwidth,
low bandwidth ones are just one frame but high bandwidth are full animations, if no one else wants to do it I could do it, I made a lot of this stuff for BWO
for example;

Hmm...that does look cool. I'd download it.

- so are they the .ani files? how would you convert to that format from video sequences?

that was actualy converted from the ani,
I render them at 560X368 (X107 frames) that is for the high resolution high bandwidth people and for each ship the animation is typicaly 3-4MB wich tyicaly gets compresed to about 1.5MB ziped, after the high high I do the low resolution high bandwidth ones they get reduced to 350X230, wich equates to about 1-1.5MB, 750KB zipped per ship

the low bandwidth versions would probly be less than one megabyte

well I don't need much help, I have automated the procses so the only realy time consuming part is resizeing all of the images once the full sized ones are done,
if you would like to make the low res and bandwidth packs from a high res/band version that would be extreemly usefull, but that is extreemly bland and boring and doesn't take much skill, generaly with this stuff it's best if one person works on it at a time so they all look uniform,
though weapons could use multable people, as new models need to be made, and a diferent template could be used
now if we want to come up with a new template, that could be fun,
I'm testing out a new system,
with a reflective base that the ship emerges from and a blue grid that comes down from above
