if you get the base pack and all the aditional packs you can have a clean install of The Babylon Project wholey independant of FreeSpace 2

(all those packs in my FRS are VPed: note I just realized for the high resolution textures in highres you _may_ have to extract them, because i forgot to put it alphabetically before core -- you can also simply rename the b5-highres vp something alphabetically before b5-core -- in R2 this won't be a problem because core will contain highres already)

Very Cool

I just downloaded the whole thing and it is a mega byte saver. This is a great download for those that have not as much memory as they would like. Super JOB guys this would be a great way to send out Release 2 and later.

these files are beta at the moment, and although they work the setup for release 2 will probably be different, it is being discussed at the moment.

This is very good news. There are lots of people out there who saw TBP but couldn`t play it because they didn't have FS2. With this we might manage to attract a lot of new people to play TBP who previously couldn`t
Also once they are here we might manage to pursuade them to download the FS2 files from HotU and increase the number of players of FS2 as well.

Once this is out of beta we should pimp this on a few Non-FS2 sites, especially B5 oriented ones.
