Hi i'm new. I just started playing freespace 2 a couple weeks ago. I didn't have time to play it when it first came out and by the time I wanted to buy it I couldn't find it in stores anywhere. Then I found the home of the underdogs site and am finally getting the change to play this great game. It's great to see that there are still so many people who enjoy playing this game!

Anyway I was wondering if anyone else was having problems getting into the PXO Multiplayer. It keeps timing out when validating my pilot. If anyone has suggestions to help me out they would be much appreciated.

Check the gameplay section of my FAQ. It's quite a common problem and it's usually solved by manually validating your pilot.

I have this same problem... But I've already validated my pilot and all... I even was able to play a few sessions online. Now it doesn't work (It times out trying to attempt to validate a pilot who is already been validated). What gives?

No idea what would cause that (I don`t play FS2 online as often as I should). Have you tried manually validating like I suggested with hurricane

i also had problems with pxo this evening (17:00GMT for those outside europe), and i already flew some missions, so PXO is (or was) probably down.

Looks to be back working now. Thanks for the replies. It seems like it PXO must just go down from time to time.

Yeah I had validated my pilot and was playing before, but it seemed to go down sometime over the weekend.
