TBP IS GREAT but...
all the ships, weapons look great, the only problem i have is with the speed of the staryfury, the difficulty of fighting the minbari wasnt the weapons of my fighter, i found myself always needing afterburner to keep my targeys in my sights.
though im sure this has been pointed out and probably taken care of in realease 2 i just thought i'd metion it

Now Nials are faster and manoveriabler than Starfury, only time you can face nial is afterburners or you lower your speed. This are basic ways to catch up with Nial, other is spinning, but it requires a bit of training

you could always adjust the speed in the ship.tbl file if you really want some extra speed.
code: $Max Velocity: 8.0, 8.0, 90

Its not a balance issue, its realistic
AFAIK in the Earth-Minbari war the ratio was 17 downed starfuries vs. 1 downed Nial

R2 should feel better...but the Nial still has a huge advantage over pretty much every other fighter to date. Now...when the First One fighters show up...damn you guys are not going to like them. But if the mission designers are smart...you'll have 3:1 ratio for your side. That should even things out

In a one on one FirstOne's fighter...well its likely. Although FS2's AI isn't that brilliant...but the FirstOne's fighters will have a huge advantage over anything else.

You`ll want to mess about with the weapons table for that. Have a look at this tutorial if you don`t know what to do.

I'd recommend tweaking tables as well...
I've had some truly wonderful moments after tweaking weapons.tbl. Example follows: FS2 has (well, had ) a problem with primary weapon damage on corvette class (SCv Moloch, GTCv Deimos and GVCv Sobek).
There are few things that can irritate more than the simple fact of being able to knock out each and every subsystem using primary fire without damaging the ship's hull for even one percent, so I altered the damage values "slightly" and now I'm happy again: I can vaporize a Moloch with two shots .
It can really be worth it, trust me: you won't have to buy that bottle of vodka to forget that you were not granted the highest possible medal for the mission since you did not manage to destroy that "#¤&$ ship before you finally lost your mind and jumped out. Less wasted money, less headache, less complaints from those around you... Perhaps we all should start altering the table values of FS2 instead of getting drunk every Friday
