Freespace mouse problem

I need help. I'm having difficulty inputting with my mouse in the setup screen not to mention in the game. Generally, I have to restart the computer in order to exit the game. When I can, the mouse is enabled in the setup screen.

I can play Freespace II without difficulty.

I have a USB mouse.

Thanks for your help.

Richard

Is it optical? If so, your driver might be corrupt. I'd check it in the system utility.
