i know i already posted this on HLP but there are more RF fans here, or atleast more concentraed.

anyways i'de really like to thank V (some of you still lurk around here right?) for bringing RF to the PC (and other platforms). I liked RF1 alot, and people are generally saying RF2 is better,..

anyways I have 2 questions:

1: Why was it a PS2 exclusive from the start. Was it just easier to develop for one platform, then port, or was it some extra incentive from Sony (just asking)

2: Howcome you didnt bother to tell us before the "official" release. I mean, we're the V community, you could have given us a heads up off the record.

anyway any complaints I have over the delay and lack of information are kinda small in comparison to my general exitedness, thanks again V for bringing us this great game..

yes, i'm a fanboy, so sue me

1)Plain and simple to try to get as many PS2 units sold as possible. If people knew it was for all platforms then maybe those that own both a PS2 and PC would only buy the PC version instead of PS2 and PC.

2)Well from what I hear they gave alot of RF websites ALOT of heads up that it would be for PC. But didnt allow them to say anything :P

66 days!! I think V didnt tell us anything because they werent making the game, or they wanted to watch us suffer lol.

does anyone from [V] even come on these forums? it seems doubtful to me but I could be wrong, I've seen a bunch of ppl saying thanks to someone from THQ or whoever as if the message is going to be read/passed along but I thought they were just posting it as praise for the fact the RF2 is coming to PC...

1) No Sony incentive. THQ wanted to push the PS2 sales up. If there are no other versions, people who want to play the game are more likely to pick up the PS2 version.

2) Because someone else would pick up on it, and in about 6 hours the entire gaming community would have known.

2b) No we didn't tell any RF websites. If we did, it sure didn't go through me, and it sure should have, especially with information like that.

Quite a few websites received emails that i know of

So maybe it didnt go through you..Either that or the 2 or 3 RF site admins I speak to regularly are very good guessers as they said probably August or September that rf2 would be out for PC but not made by V :?

But they werent allowed to say anything

and they thought I was crazy when I saw on some RF fansite news of how someone's uncle's brother sad RF2 was comming hehe

anyhow, I understand about you guys not giving out the info, though unfortunarly I doubt many game press people visit the VWBB or HLPBB.

well, I cant wait to try it out, RF was one of my faves, one of the few games I actuall wanted to finish..cant wait
