Subspace...
Do you think subspace is a Universe in itself, with its own planets, structures and stuff?
Or is it simply an empty place useful only for travel?

Sub-space is just what its name tells. Its different from space in the qualities of space-time. Its unlike a wormhole because wormholes connect two points, but still exist in normal space. Subspace is the manipulation of space to create a "dimension," if you want to call it that.

it's an n-dimension. Accessable only by certain vibrations from a subspace drive.

Right, its caused by the vibration of the subspace drive, which opens a "portal" or "entrance" into subspace. It exists beneath normal space, similar in function to a wormhole, but not physically similar to a wormhole. A wormhole is contained (think of a cylinder container) while subspace is infinte (an infinate plane).

So Subspace is another universe in itself. A universe under this one. Correct?

Well...
It isn't another universe as such. If I am correct(which I doubt, for obvious resaons), it is the result of folding of space, like hyperspace, only using different technology, causing you to fly on a different wavelength than normalspace and hyperspace.
You'd be flying on speeds faster than light(I'm right, right?) using Subspace.
But now I go t a small question...would large-scale ships, like Arcadia class spacestations, be able to anchor there and launch ships from subspace to normalspace?

Technically, you ARE or are ABLE to travel faster than light in subspace, but that speed is relative to speed in NORMAL space... its like comparing apples to oranges, you cant do it.
Arcadia ships have no engine/warp/subspace drives, and cannot enter subspace in its entirety, unless it is towed by another ship equiped w/ s-space drives.

Well...
wouldn't it be cool to have a station in Subspace, from where you launch and get attacks at? I loved the battle in FS1 at the end in SubSpace.

That might work in a B5 style universe, where the "hyperspace " dimension was a seperate universe with different laws. Freespace style subspace seems to function a little like islands connected by roads.

hmmm...
I gather it would be VERY unhealthy to ask IceFire or anyone else of the Babylon Project to see if they can use this idea?
I don't want to end up as Vorlon fodder...

Not a go. Cargo loading, let alone fighting, is very dangerous in hyperspace. It was not precisely explained why it is so dangerous, or at least I can't remember such. I still believe that FO's may have developed some safety systems and whatnot if hyperspace fighting is required.
I believe hyperspace is dangerous because it is so volatile. Weapon charges may possible cause a chain reaction of explosions. This is only my theory though.
