Question RF Peer-to-Peer network model

How do I set my non-dedicated games to peer-to-peer mode? After I click on "create game," everyone says my ping is zero.

I dont quite understand what you are asking. But if you are non-dedicated no matter what RF says your ping is(at it seems to make up a number often) its 0. Reason being, your computer has no delay in sending packets to itself.

Do you mean LAN games, as opposed to Internet games?
Anyway your ping should read zero. If you're the server, and that same computer is also playing the game (that is, you host the game but you also play) the server and your "client" are on the same machine - there IS no lag time from itself to itself.

Peer to peer is good for smaller games, but for more than 4 people a dedicated server is better..

peer to peer gaming is like Kazaa, every one shares the bandwidth.. player one sends his packets to player 2 and 3. player 2 sends his packets to 1 and 3, and player 3 sends his packets to 1 and 2

hope that clears up some thing..

edit: btw the only game i have seen this in so far is Descent 3..
