Am I missing something with Summoner 1 towards the end. I need to get back to Lenele for the last boss fight. In the sewers the only exit available to me is to the market place - fine if I want to go to the palace but all other exits from there are blocked now. Of the other sewer exits, the one past where the thiefs were originally does nothing when I cross the yellow line and the other one by the wheels originally activated by the golems is behind the locked gate and I cannot use the wheels to open it (although from memory that exit led to the palace anyway not the temple). Any bright ideas?

Yep, that is correct, go out through the Market Place, and at the end you will cross the yellow line into the Temple not the Palace......
