It's the demo shim, don't worry to fast.... Maybe the multiplayer section will be fun, just like in RF1...

don't get your hopes up. I have it and I'm very dissapointed. The only thing I really like are the first few levels in single player and the weapons. The weapons are all pretty unique except for the dual weapons which I have found to be pretty weak, all except the nano.

Heh I actually saw an ad for RFII the other night but had no idea til the splash screen came up at the end. Single player sucks anyways, bots are just as bad. Real people with real brains can kick any AI ass

Nirv, you should head over to the HQN forums at rfhq.com
That's JeT's (AOD_Jetbike) site and most of the old peeps are still there.
(To make this post non-spam) shim, just wait for the PC version

Well ..
from my weak and unreliable sources which I choose not to devulge at this time... I understand that rf2 for pc.. I know I know.. weve been over this a thousand times... but that rf2 for pc will be put out by a third party that is currently not known. So hopefully they will add to the game what rf1 already has and more.
Question..
How does rf1 pc version compare with say rf1 playstation or whatever else it came in? I have never tried the other versions.. is everything the same? or is it alot different.. could be a good way to base rf2 on....

The PC version had a few changes...main screen interface was a little different...I think most things were largely the same but balance was changed to accomodate that shooting people with a mouse/key combo is easier than on console.

PS2 Red Faction is one of the best FPS's available on the PS2.
PC Red Faction is NOT one of the best FPS's available on the PC.

Yeah, I like NOLF as well, especially when Cate Archer batters Magnus Armstrong in NOLF 1.
But I prefer Deus Ex.
Mind you, I think RF1 gives them both a run for their money because it's story is excellent, and that's not to mention the msuic.

Anyone here played Half Life series?
Just wondered, because HL series of games were all great FPS.
Even Blue Shift was pretty good, and also Gunman Chronicles was okay once you got used to the idea of gunslingers fighting dinosaurs to aliens and robots.
Howie.

I liked HL, but it was only fun when you battled the military. When it ended with you being Super Mario Brother and having to jump everywhere, it got rediculous.

Blue Shift was OK, but I don't think it was that great.

Howie.
Gunman Chronocles was pretty bad, too easy and being placed in the market a couple of years after HL, it wasn't too impressive.
I would like to throw a FPS out there that was a great deal of fun, even though the characters were more-or-less cell animations, the gameplay was fun. I am talking about Outlaw by Lucas Arts, the gameplay made up for it's lack of three-dimensional characters.

RF (PC) could be a decent game.... if the animation wasn't so god-damn awful. Is it just me, or does every character movement consist of a series of jumps between keyframes?
