Where can I buy FreeSpace 2?
Argh! It's incredibly hard to find any copies of FS2 being sold anywhere. Interplay's website doesn't have it. Pretty much most of the online stores I've visited are out of stock. Ebay does have copies of it, but I don't trust Ebay, and the bids are going high. Does anyone know where I can buy FS2? Preferrably cheap...

Find a friend who has it, and ask them to give you a copy. This is perfectly legal for FS2, as the license agreement states (in part), "You may make copies of this software to give to your friends and acquaintances on a no-cost noncommercial basis."

You know, I still wonder about that license agreement....
Anyway, if all those places aren't working, try a used game site/place. Who knows, some fool might've sold his or her copy. Take advantage of their mistake!

Well there's always ebay, you can get a copy at acceptable price (and under wrap too)... if you don't want a GOTY edition...
Just find someone that has shiped ALOT of stuff and you should be ok. I never had problems by doing that...

Heh...finally found someone with FS2. Man...this game is quite rare...no wonder the bids on Ebay are high... Shouldn't Interplay or whoever holds the rights to sell FS also re-release FS2 like they did with the FS1/Silent Threat jewel case?
BTW, is there any real difference between the GOTY edition of FS2 and the normal one, aside from new missions? And is the GOTY additions good?

Well, it dependsa bit on where you are. Here in Switzerland, I bought Freespace 3 weeks ago (the Virgin White Label version) which means I am an utter noob.
The shop I bought it in was mix-image.ch
I know they ship outside of switzerland, so if you're in Europe give it a try.

You didn't buy Freespace 3, you bought Freespace 2. There is NO fs3.

I wonder if a "There will not be a FS3" thread needs to be started here...
I bought my friend FS1 or 9.99 at Best Buy. It was in a plain CD case with a plastic wrapping (no box or manual). Its FS getting THAT old??
