How to play Freespace 2 movies from the hard disk

I've re-installed FS2 ... and I was hoping I wont be needing the cds everytime it wants to play the movies...
I copied the movie files to the hard disk (FS2 folder), but unfortunately it still asks for the cd.
Is there a way to get around this?

Have you done a search? I'm sure this has already been mentioned, I just can't remember how to do it. I know it is on HLP.

Try this program out.

http://www.daemon-tools.com/

In this site, you should download 2 programs - Disc Dump and Daemon Tools. Go to the Download Section. Download DDump and run it. What it will do is it will dump the image of the CD into your Hard Disk. Then Download Daemon-Tools as well. Install it, and once it's installed, an icon of it should show next to the clock. Right click on it, select Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, then choose Device 0, then choose Mount. Now look for the CD Image that you made with Disc Dump and select it.

What Daemon Tools does is make a sort of "Virtual CDROM", with the image of the CD that you made with Disc Dump. I don't know if it will work on FS2, but it's working for my FS1 copy. You won't need to switch CDs, only switch the ISO file currently mounted if you're gonna change from one disc to another. And it should run faster now, as all data is accessed from the HD.

Or you could mount more than one faux CD drive and then you wouldn`t even have to worry about that.

or how about you just skip the whole Virtual Disc crap (which is usually flaky at best) and just go to megagames.com or gamecopyworld.com and download a No-CD crack...
