Two questions: a)Is this an official forum, viewed by Volition/THQ, and b) why hasn't my demo disc showed up yet? I received an email on 9.18, and instead of two weeks it's been almost a month. I want to try the game! Anyone else still waiting on a disc?

1) No, this is an unofficial forum. The occasional Volition guy drops by, but in no official capacity.

2) If I remember that e-mail correctly, and I do, it says this:

Your concept of time is way off-base. Its 10 days short of a month. That's not even close to "almost a month". That's way closer to "2 weeks".

I disagree... I would say it's closer to three weeks. However, this is still within the stated range of "two to four weeks" ...

The only reason I said 2 weeks instead of 3, is because 2 weeks and 1 month are specifically mentioned. 3 weeks is not! HA HA REMORA IS STOOPID AS PER USUAL!!

Okay, well, thank you Alphakiller. I guess I've been fully introduced to the forums. Two weeks, three weeks, whatever. No one said whether you have the disc, which was the actual question, so I guess the answer is no.

Anyhow, by funny coincidence, I just received the latest OPM, and guess what's on the demo disc.... (duh-duh-DUH) ...the Red Faction II demo. So if anyone else is waiting for the demo and wants it earlier, I suppose you could get the new OPM with GTA Vice City (pink version) on the cover. I'm going to pop it in and give it a try. I saw it at E3, but the consoles were kinda choked at the time so a THQ tester was playing it for the crowd. There's nothing like hands on, and I'm sure we can agree on that!

anyway, the package wasn't the RF2 demo. It was $15.02 - I burned a lot of CDs for a friend. (the .02 was for CD-R drive wear and tear )

FYI.....

MY Summoner 2 demo arrived in my mailbox more then a month after I purchased the full version in the store.

I "lucked" into my RF2 demos.

Yeah, I agree it's been three weeks as of today I believe. Christ, RF2 will be shipped before the demo finally arrives. Nice to see that I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten the demo yet. Hell guys, we are better off reserving a copy of RF2 and getting another demo hopefully sooner, lol. But what is the point of getting a demo of the game that you've reserved?? Wouldn't that spoil the fun? Any word on the price yet? When I got SOCOM I paid around $60 for it. Is RF2 gonna be your generic $49.99 or are they gonna up it a bit? I say screw the demo and hurry up and reserve a copy of RF2!

Well I've been waiting for a full month today. I ordered it on the 9th andf its the 9th today, so I guess it should arrive soon, eh?

Will it be possible to ge the demo disc in the future through some other medium? i.e. - PC Gamer or such?

Um, THQ said, I believe, 2-4 weeks from when they sent out that e-mail not 2-4 weeks from the beginning of the sign-up period. So you actually haven't been really waiting a month.

As for the RF2 demo on other sources - from what I hear, yes. Some magazine has it on their monthly demo disc. Not sure if that's just in the UK or just in the US or what, though.

OMG all that discussion for that!
if something is sent through mail and there are hundreds of people waiting for the same thing, i dont see the point in complaining, even 2 weeks late...

Hey Pres... Are you going to do a walkthrough for RF2 also? I hope so your walkthroughs are good!

As far as the RF2 disc goes, it shipped on the 16th so it should be in your hands within the week.
