Minor Rant (Warning Spoilers inside) Only for those who are past the 'mask' section.

Okay Minor rant here not because I dislike the game but because I'm in a very FRUSTRATING situation right now.

First of all, I'm tired of being in this silly area. This place is nutty, it's cool in that respect but I feel like I"m sooo of the beaten path it's not fun. It's annoying like hell!

So I'm fighting these psudo-mud golum things. Those aren't bad, the frogs are bad! Those guys hurt for ome reason.

But the real pain is the #*(# boss! Okay, I have Maia, Neru and Irie(sp) and all I can say is, when the boss transforms into Neru he is completely undefeatable!

I can't beat this guy, He's like a freaking brick! Neru, the player, gets the heck beat out of him, I really haven't found a lot of good items for him yet. (Is it normaly for most of your characters to be still 80% unequiped at this point?) Although he occasionly does well in butt kicking. (Did In the ice cave) But MAN the anti-Neru is just INSANE!.

Good lord that pissed me off last night. Got beat so hard twice in a row, I didn't even dent him. Okay I'm not sure what the heck I'm supposed to do, but I hope I find out quick. I'll tell ya one thing, Normaly, I find the Blood Summon to be just death incarnate. That Summon is my favorite. Kicks complete ars and takes name. Helps a lot he regenerates with each hit. I got max summon JUST because of him very early in the game.

But I'm not sure even HE can defeat Mud-Neru. This is annoying.

Ah yes, I'm at that point myself... that boss sucks. I've only fought him once so far, beat him as himself, then he turned into maia and I got lucky and beat him there and managed to mostly recover my people, then he turned into sangaril and kicked my ass all willy nilly.

Here's what I'm going to try tonight. For one thing, Maybe getting him OUT of the stupid neon mud may help. There's not much room for that but we'll see. Second I should explore the room some more. See if there are anything like switches or levers or something.

I may want to change his vulnerability too. I recall a room with 3 panels, the center allowed me to set what he's vulnerable too. I think maybe if I set it to beam weapons that'll help me and my party. I wish I picked Yago though, I need another healer. Maya was my main healer and she may be my main fighter in this battle.

Rar!

Okay I have to admit, this is the worst boss I've ever faced. This guy is realy nasty period. I'm not sure who I should have picked but I'll tell you this, Maia form is rough, but Neru form is impossable. He insta-heals himself, insta-protects himself. I can't seem to stop this guy. The game cheats by haveing un-interuptable spell casting so he's always protected. It's really really unfair and very annoying.

I'll try again tomorrow. I'm too frustrated to do it again today..

I was at this point yesterday but finally made it after many tries. Although I did not have Neru with me, Sangril was my problem. She would paralyze me and then backstab me which was always an insta-kill. Here's what I figured out that got me past it:

I kept trying to fight as the Blood summon but when I finally tried the Sand summon (or was it the tree, i don't recall) it was immune to Sangrils paralyze ability and then I was easily able to take her out. For Neru, I suggest trying a different summon and maybe you'll have better luck like I did. Maybe one has the ability to silence him.

Let me know if this works out.

Uh, the key is to pick the right party members. I picked Maia, Morbazon and Iari (it is their world after all) and I had no major problems with him. If his form as one character is too tough, come back with different characters. Simply as that. I beat him on the very first try though with little trouble taking Morbazon and Iari.

Okay the key IS the characters. I finaly did it last night after picking new characters.

I really didn't want to do this because I hated the idea of goin thru the level _again_ just because I picked the wrong guys. But after the 20's attempt, I finaly got some new characters.

This time I went with Maia, Yago and Iari. This worked out Really well. Casters are much easier to defeat instead of tanks. It also didn't hurt that since I have two good casters with me, I got the buffs and Yago healed me while IN blood form, not that I needed it too much in Blood form, but on the way to the boss, it worked out well for me.

So ya, The key is WHO you pick to go with you. Do NOT take any extra tanks with you. That rules out Neru, Sangril and I assume Tarrgus(sp). I guess Morbazon isn't that bad, and I can state with a fact that Yago and Iari aren't that bad at all. I beat the boss in one try with these three. YESH, I would have hoped Volition would have been a little more carefull to make these characters a little more balanced in this fight.. <Sigh> I also picked Vuln to melee damage for the fight, which I assumed help since I used Blood Summon the whole time. 3 castings total.. Thank god I had some breaks in the fight due to not being the targets viewable range. A wierd 'feature' of the game.

all you had to do to beat neru atre sangril was hit them with casters. Sangril weak against energy(as all munari people are)and neru i think he weak against fire. If thier strong on physical battles the set the other to casters. have one character to block all th time and have two or one caster against them.

I got past him by useing Maia "duh.", yago, and Iari.
I use the blood summon and beat the crap out of maia, yago could never get a spell off and Iari was too slow. I hope that helps. you most likely beat this part by now but, I figured I'd put my two cents in as well.

i thought the boss was hard only with neru in your party so i used sangril and iari since i had no trouble against them and whooped the mud dudes ass. i used the blood golem to use his healing ability on sangril and iari whose energy magic takes them out big time.

HOPe you unlocked the secret summon stone in his lair (to the upper left wher you fight the boss) or you'll have to fight him again to get them all.......whatever you do , DO NOT use sangril she will parayls you then kill you in one hit.
