Help with Silent Threat mission - Secret Recovery

ARGHH! This mission is incredibly hard! I've already put the difficulty level to Easy, and I still can't beat it! This is a Silent Threat mission, where you have to protect a Science station from endless waves of HOL Thoths coming from a Vasudan destroyer, the Ptah. ARGHH! It's frustrating, wave after wave of endless Thoths. There are no bombers for this mission, and just killing one wave of enemies spawns another... It's difficult to get at the Ptah without having to watch your back, and the wingmen drop dead like flies in a few minutes. Help...any advice for this absurdly hard mission?

Hmm. Can you pack a Disruptor and disable one of the Thoths, then tell your wingmen to ignore it, thus stopping another wave from appearing?

Hmm. Can you pack a Disruptor and disable one of the Thoths, then tell your wingmen to ignore it, thus stopping another wave from appearing?

Never mind. Finished the mission and took out the Ptah. Turns out the Ptah stops sending Thoths after I have 50 kills.

Or you could just destroy the destroyer, which actually isnt really hard... That's what I do --- took me 3 tries on Insane
