S1: barrels (PC >< PS)

Hi, fellow-Summoners! Perhaps a strange question, but it's been puzzling me for a while now: at Lenele's marketplace I got kinda bored with "searching" every barrel and crate in the area (since you have to be standing quite close in order for them to "light up" + I didn't want to miss out anything), so I searched the net for a walktrough that would help me. Although I only found a thorough walktrough for PS, I noticed that every crate mentioned in this walktrough (+ its content) was identical to the ones in my PC game.

HOWEVER, I can't seem to be able to "light up" any of the barrels mentioned in the walktrough. I went back to the outskirts & to Masad and tried to search the barrels that were mentioned, but with the same result. Come to think of it, I didn't find anything in any of the barrels up to now. And believe me: I tried searching them all...except for the ones in the marketplace. (If I remember correctly, the tips & tricks section of the game's manual also mentioned something like "search every crate and barrel" !? -- I don't have it at hand right now)

Am I doing something wrong? Did the creators leave out the possibility of getting the contents of the barrels for the PC version? Or do I need to download the patch (which I didn't do yet because Summoner works perfectly otherwise)?

Any help with or information about this would be greatly appreciated.

Never found much in barrels (Mac/PC version) crates yes, barrels no, so I guess they changed stuff around between PC and PS2 versions....

Press the mouse whell down (or I think you can use X, but the m/w is easier) and you'll get an 'area effect' use within a short distance of the selected character. Just run around clicking like a psychopath and you might find something. I do, and I have - I just look like a total ponce half the time.
