Question Are you a postaholic?

Today was a long day, I drive home from the job and got to my front door. I thought, there has to be a better way. So I decided to walk my yard and ponder the way I could possibly make a living another way. Surely, my yard would yield some clues, or even a passer by. Heck some of the simplest creations were thought of in this fashion.

So I started the stroll, images in my head, noises and there it was..A ROCK! surely I could do something with it..Ill box them up in little cages and tell people there alive. Ohhh dang someone's did it...crap I think I may have bought one too argh. So I stroll onwards letting my brain wisp away to nothingness..That's it! I can invent this cute little clay worm that turns colors when there is water in my garden..but...ummm..crap whats this?the neighbor already has one? Ohhh I got it, Ill invent a text board on the internet that draws people to endless conversations and maybe even get some help...YEAH!! Lets see I can add little pictures..but awe whats this??? I'm on ONE!! argh.

Well Now that you got through that long nothingness lol, bet you even wondered what this lousy post was about...NO not a web site...Not a miracle drug..Not even a new map..But all about you. Did you look at your post number b4 you came to read this mess? If so, you just might be a POSTAHOLIC!! Have you felt the need to post useless text to get that little number under your name to go up one little notch? Why does it have any value to you at all? I think it goes back to the rock thing..or the stupid worm lol. Can you tell when your ground is dry? I sure can lol..How about that rock? Did yours ever talk back to you? Mine didn't, but she sure was cute, but a little dry humored.

Now we have this board and many more like it. Some people think of it as a help desk, some think of it as a boxing ring, and then there's the infected ones, where it has become an addiction. So whats in the little number down there? Do you think Timothy Leary missed this one? Or do the web people put something in the colors to make us come back. I can bet you one thing though, some one has made money from it.

Now BB's are not new at all matter of fact there are the text line ones that we all have seen. Kinda looks like a forwarded email, you know, re: re: ect.... why didn't we like those? I can tell you...where was the number? That's it no number!!..could have they been that far off? even the guy who did the rock knew that a rock didn't talk back unless you caged it up..what were the first BB people thinking? NO NUMBER?

So have you looked yet? I haven't, But I must admit I am drawn to find out. Lets face it, I was worried about that number, I sure wouldn't get have enough time to get my count up writing posts like this one. Well, I must go off and do some more pondering, there has to be a better way..

Ohh maybe I could invent a way to get all those rocks free..

VIVA LE ROCK!!

PEACE

Numbers and meanings are what you make them out to be. Some people take great pride in a number...others are not so sure.

I want a study done on Postaholics so I can better understand their viewpoint

I know a few postaholics. I think it's low self-esteem, or too much free time, or both

Question

I've never understood what the "Hannibal" rank referred to. Are you talking about the fictional psycho that ate faces and brains or the guy from Carthage that put too much faith in elephants?

no fs3

That brings me back to think of that old thread started by IP Andrews in the VBB about "There will not be a FS3". That thread recieved, at my last count, 1401 replies until it was deleted. I only bumped it a few times, but those are numbers that I felt really shouldnt have counted.

Then there was the time when the board had a crash. I spent some dozen posts pleading for my number... I asked Todd to remove them, but he didnt want to. So I had to live the rest of my short life at VBB knowing I had a bit more than a dozen posts unneeded for...
