Question about RF2
I have been reading and looking at the website. The impression I get is that RF2 is going to be for PS2 ONLY! Is this correct?

Once again, another uninformed person spreading false information. Only a PS2 version is announced at this time. Whether or not we will see more versions than a PS2 version still hasn't been announced.

And spreading the false hope that a PC version might just be released is better because...?

false hope is better than no hope.
even as PS2 only, RF2 is going to rock some serious ass -- although we all want a pc version, many many more people want a 'console' version

I want the address of anyone who wants it on console more so I can fly down there and beat them up with my hockey stick

It's not that I want it on a console more it's just that I don't give a crap either way.

I definately don't want it MORE on a console. I much prefer my trusty puter.....but if you want to come to Texas.....bring it.....I got tons of fresh batteries.

I wonder if [V] is going to become a console only developer for ALL titles in the future, or just this one? Has there been any announcement for PC Summoner 2?
Well, in any case I imagine if the demand is high enough on any platform it will get the game. Now we've just got to go about making sure Volition KNOWS about that demand

Okay.. lets clear up all who don't seem to understand things clearly here: Summoner 2 is Volition's ONLY title that has EVER been deemed "PS2 Exclusive". Red Faction 2 is NOT deemed "PS2 Exclusive". Also, the "PS2 Exclusive" tag is not a contractually obligated thing. There's no deal between Sony and THQ here that either game will only be released on PS2.
To give you a little hint on other games that have been deemed "Exclusive" to their platforms. How about "Halo" or "GTA3"? Yeah. The exclusive tag on any system means nothing.

This part is true, and they know this too. Volition has traditionally liked to stick to their roots of PC gaming in at least some way in the past, always, too.

The way I look at it, it's "PS2 Exclusive" until a PC version is formally announced and a release date set. How much I care then will depend on just how the PS2 version turns out.

I'm kind of the same way, Admiral. I really enjoyed the PS2 RF 1 single player but didn't touch the multiplayer at all (which is weird, considering that I'm a big console FPS fan in general). When it came out on the PC, I didn't bother with the single player (I played to the cafeteria and that was it), but played multi till the cows came home. I wonder if the same thing will happen with RF2, assuming there's a PC version at some point, or if the multi on the console will be strong enough to suit me.
