Babylon 5

Hi,

I have been reading alot about the B5 Campaign, why does the player have to be a Human in the EA?

Why can't he be a Narn or a Centauri???

or even a Drazi?

or a pilot of the other races.???

Once the relevant ships are released you can pilot any player-flyable ship from any race. This currently includes the Nial and Starfury and will ultimately include the Bluestar, Thunderbolt, Badger, Tishat, Frazi and Sentri and maybe even the Whitestar, Rutarian, Shadow fighter and Vorlon fighter if all goes well. There are only a few missions that are flyable as a Nial pilot right now but there is nothing to stop you creating such missions in Fred 2.

I hope to have at least one pilot type for all of those races as well. With source code, I hope to be better able to utilize the race changes as well.

Later....I don't even have a in-game model of it yet....and right now the work is on LOD0. That means there are more LOD's to do or the game is going to run pretty aweful if you want a firefight of any sort.

Well most mission which didn't have a firefight were really boring, but Derlich non-shooting was quite good

Lady Rose, for good campaigns a good mission designer can create interesting non-fighting missions. Those missions, howewer can't be long, but short missions that drives storyline further. Certain storyline aspects cannot be done simply by cutscenes (which are too big to download all time anyway) or command briefings.

Yeah know that Mr.Fury. Like I said Derlich scout/spying missions were good, always happened something you wouldn't expect and they weren't too long.

You see Mr.Fury, I think I lack this skill to make non-shooting-good-one missions

Mr Fury, I already have one or two of these planned in my campaign (along with one or two actual training missions that are testing new ships, time goals, etc.). Basically combat makes up the majority of the memorable parts of missions but there is a lot of dialogue and other stuff that goes on to make a mission/campaign good/great.
