Just one more thing................

One question- how do you take screen shots of FS2 while in game?I have tried 10 screen capture utilities but they will only work if the game is not in full screen mode(is there any way to play Fs2 in a smaller window on your desktop?).
If some one could fill me in I'd appreciate it.

I uninstalled it when the realization that I have no need to take screenshots came up and hit me in the face.

press print screen - saves a tga in your freespace 2 folder

I don't like TGAs too much, they tend to take up a lot of space sometimes.

All I was saying was that it is a little annoying of the game to save them as TGAs. You're best to get a copy of HyperSnap with a SN off the net and bind it with scroll lock when you run FS2.

TGA's are perfect. Almost any format would have compression artifacts and I HATE compression artifacts, especially on source files. No, TGA's were the perfect choice and they are a bit smaller than BMP's.

yeah.. a TGA is basically just a list of pixel values.. as simple yet perfect as you can get.. BMP's are practically the same, only with a bit more header info.

thanks for the info-and by the way i have several ships that i pulled out of jedi knight outcast that i have converted to fs2(I have the cloud car,a couple transports and a shuttle). Unfortunatly the ravens claw is over 2000 polys so it was a no go for file conversion. I've been killing time playing around with and modding JKII. Lets just say I'm Boba and chewie is my partner and we are killing clones.
