All this is a quick little mention from GamePro magazine, a popular multiplatform gaming magazine. This month they published their 11th annual Reader's Choice Awards for multiple categories. In the "Best Combat Game" category, Red Faction PS2 was voted #3 just behind the second place Half-Life for PS2 and the first place Halo for X-Box. Those games are pretty good competition for RF to make it up against.

Actually.. just to slap this right back at GriffonUK, the poll included PC games, but PC games didn't make the top 3. Sorry Griffon.. nice try. :P

yeah... 'So pwned'... you're a ****head...

anyway, it must be a pretty duff readers choice if they managed to miss Jedi Knight 2, Allied Assault, Half-Life PC (which is so much superior than the PS2 version, mainly thanks to that CounterStrike thing), Undying, No-One Lives Forever, Elite Force and Aliens Vs. Predator 2... Oh, and Deus Ex and System Shock 2...

hell, even RtCW and Renegade were better than Red Faction... and thats saying too much

what a naff article...

It's a published magazine.. no online article AFAIK.. and it was for all platforms, including PC, and it only included games from the last year. So obviously most of the titles G-UK listed don't qualify since they are older.

I never played Undying, but I definitely think RF is better than both AvP2 and RtCW.
