Yup. I saw copies of it for sale at my local Walmart for $10 a pop (kinda high, but hey!) ... then laughed, since I already have it.

Cool. I just installed it three months ago (got the PIII version in a DVD promotional pack) and can't get enough of it. It's rather frustrating being three years behind everyone else. There's no enthusiastic community to share stuff with anymore!
I'm actually nearly finished making a campaign, but I'm wondering if there'll be any audience for it. All the campaigns seem to be overshadowed by FS2 (which I don't have). I've already played through the main campaign twice and am on my second go through Awakenings.

I definately would...i only got FS1 as few months ago, and - seeing as my FS2 data folder is a total mess with mods - I d-led a load of new campaigns for it. Only thing is - I don't have Silent Threat, which is really annoying.

wow
wow. and you've already started creating campaigns. Good for you. I'm still having trouble. D/l some of the others. Derelict, Warzone, Trinity, Enemies United, Behind Enemy Lines, Blackwater Ops (not released).
One must play FS1 and ST to keep one's memory and experience high. Plus, its just fun.

By the way, I've seen copies of FS1 brand new for $10 USD where I am. A little convincing and about $15 could get it shipped right to your door, USPS priority mail...

At the beginning of FS2, you see the crashed Hades-class
destroyer that's so ****ing awesome, too bad it was an enemy. It's like a double Orion!

Thanks! Glad to know newbies are still welcomed, uh, four years after the game was released.
My campaign is suffering from mission creep. I thought it was nearly done, and then I had to go and add a few more missions and revise some of the old ones...Hopefully it'll be completed shortly.
