FarSlayer's Nightmare

I heard at the VBB that FarSlayer got angry at THQ and was going to take down his server. Is this still going to happen? I'd hate to see that great server go...

Hmm.. that's kind of a dumb decision, IMO. I find it hard to imagine that he would feel that betrayed about the whole thing. Volition's involvement in the VBB in the last 6 months to a year has been minimal anyway.

I think the closing of the VBB was the final drop, from his point of view. Its a pity, one of the best servers. When I played there tonight there were 30 ppl on, it was really good. Everybody addedd "thx Far" after their names since it was the last night.

Do you get the fealing that THQ, is trying to limit the things that "V" are alowed to do, they havent even got there own forum anymore.

Hoo boy, do we have a lot of conspiracy theorists in here! THQ isn't liquidating Volition. Red Faction for PS2 sold tons of copies and will probably fund V for sometime if they weren't owned by THQ. However, since they do, Volition won't be going out of business until the mass-market-morons stop buying Britney's Dance Beat and Rugrats Super Baby Racer. THQ is a lot smarter than having Volition do one of these crap lisenced games, but the money they make off them can go right into V's developmental budget.

I love how here you get a response from the actual source so quickly ... or you actually do.
How come there was no responses like this in the VBB. seems that it should have had more response etc. cause it is the actual RF site. or was.
Strange that here you get correspondence between player and company and never there.

thats because there it used to be player -> auto responses -> automated system -> live person (2 sentance response) -> rinse and repeate.

that would happen over a 4-week period. here, if they find something worthwile to reply to, most often you'll get a response if they actually read it.
