wtf: a THQ Red Faction forum in german
WTF ,
I made a search on google to find a populated RF-forum on some fan-site (since this one is empty), and found a THQ Red Faction forum in german!
http://forum.thq.de/viewforumThreaded.php?forum=8&std_theme=8
So german speaking ppl are allowed to have a RF forum, but the rest of the world is not. Where's the logic in that. Pisses me off .

This one isn't that empty...infact its growing...but it won't grow if nobody comes
We provided you the next best thing to the official forums. Now you guys have to populate it...and spread the word. We've tried to do that as best we can, which is probably why you posted here...but take part and encourage others. Volition knows about these forums and does visit.

Often oversea's sections of companys as large as THQ just kind of do their own thing. I think it was Dark Reign 2...maybe not...in any case...one of the affiliated companies had a whole section up that was way better than the "official" site. But it was the UK part of the company...go figure.
So this I don't think is much of an outrage.

I wont. it was all noobs, whiners, and people who thought they knew more than everyone else.
I believe once ivan stopped posting to clear just about everything up, and it was released, the n00bism exponentially increased, it became squadwar all over again.

Heh. Brando's got a point; I learned a lot of stuff about RF from ivan. Hence why I'm here, since I became more 31337 than him. I mean, he's a chump now. I'm not. (ooooo!)

Does it really matter ....
that the 'GERMANS' have a forum run by THQ etc etc...no !!!, this place is far more friendly to post in, back in the VBB i syou posted your opinion of things you either got flamed BIG time or THQ closed the topic cause idiots replied and went OFF topic as per usual, half of the RF Peeps have never used a forum before as you could see from the stat of that place in the last few months. At least you can post here and get a resonable and mature answer rather than some guy spamming out your post and getting it closed

Erm... don't you think that some people were unhappy that there was a forum for English speaking people and not for the rest of the world? You speak as if everyone can read and understand English well.
Besides, large companies are often divided. The German THQ let their forums be.

Hehe,
english is not my language, I'm Swedish. I do however understand why THQ dont create a Swedish RF forum . I dont mind there being a german RF-faction forum, but I mind them closing the english-speaking one down, since large parts of the gaming-world either are english speakers, or (like me) have learned english as a second language in school.
Sure there was some stupid posts at the RF-vbb, but its also the place where new gamers came for advice, and it was a good place for info on new maps etc. For example, the word on NERVS anti-cheat mod (before the last patch) would never have spread if it were not for the RF-vbb. I hope this place will get as crowded as the vbb, its not at the moment.

Germany is big market for computer games, there are probably more players than in france or britain. And not everyone is speaking english. But as long as you speak english you shouldn't start weeping...
