As some of you may know, the VBB is closing as of April 12, 2002. We're expecting a lot of new members to hit, which means a lot of new posts. So, please keep in mind:

Newbies are people, even if they don't know anything. Be polite when you tell them to RTFM.

Off-topic posts are tolerated here to a degree, but we have a general discussion forum for a reason. As the board grows, for reasons of keeping sanity around, we ask you put OT posts in general discussion and keep this a TBP-focused forum, as it should be.

Other than that, just follow the posting rules, and of course, respect MAH AUTHORATAH!!!! (oh yeah, and that IceFire guy. You should probably pay attention to him, too.)

This thread will remain stuck to the top of the forum for a few days so nobody misses it. Feel free to reply and ask questions if you need to, or whatever.

That's an interesting point you just brought up. Do you intend to start the forum from scratch, or transfer the current logins over to the new system?

The VBB (another webboard entirely) is Volition's official board.

As the biggest Volition fansite, we're expecting new members when the official board closes -- and they migrate here. Ergo, if the VWBB (here) starts growing, we're going to get a bit stricter about OT posts since there IS a general discussion forum for that type of thing now.
