According to HLP, the FreeSpace Port project has been released. GalacticEmperor, a member of the community has put together this MOD for FreeSpace 2. Here's a little of what he had to say:
It's all packed in a VP file so all you have to do is move it to your main Freespace folder. It's that easy. It includes everything you need, including ships, weapons, and the entire campaign. Enjoy.
Found this all out from HLP and you can get straight to the Port Site here.
