Whee! New Mission ready

Hi

Well i've finished my first mission
It's fun and not too hard.

Hopefully the begining of a campaign (i'm allready working on the second mission).

It's been tested by me and was also sent to Lady Rose for evaluation purposes (see if i can cut it)

Anyone who wants it e-mail me at: flounder@netvision.net.il

Remember: it is my first mission, i have never used FRED or FRED2 befor...so be gentle.

Also, anyone wanting to upload the mission to any FS2 mission archive can do so with my blessing.

well i got 10 megs of webspace but i dont know how to make a website like the render dudes have white background and then all the stuff?

For the first time i saw a freighter taken out and the weirdest part was one freighter went for the gate's waypoint, reached it, did a 180 and warped out! perhaps because it was under fire?

Oh well, back to the second mission

the problem is that you're telling the ship to warp out when it reaches the waypoint - the ship reaches the waypoint then the AI doesn't know what to do, so it spins round a bit before warping out.. try setting it so that it warps out when it's within 100 metres of the waypoint.. that should fix it.

Those freighters come out of jump-gate, neh? They jumpburts fly them too far away and thats why they make 180, in order to face that waypoint and jumps out. Unless you didn't repair it already.

Warping out

As i said earlier...

It depends on the situation
1) If no hostiles were present then the freighters reached the waypoint and warped out normally
2) If there were enemy units there the freighter did a 180 and warped out not towards the gate but away from the gate

How would such a sexp expression look like?

I assume it will start with waypoint-once. so when the craft reached the waypoint it will come to a full stop. i havn't been able to figure out how to make go on another 100m into the gate and then warp.

Any suggestions?

What i did try is moving the waypoint inside the gate. I havn't tested it yet
