I just want the bloody MODS!
I'm about to jump out of my skin to play TBP, but everytime I try to download the core files, the download ends prematurely, stating that the actual file size is 16-17MB. I Made one last valiant attempt at d/l'ing these files... but the Ajatollah's Site link is broken, I have no account at FilePlanet, and the 3D Downloads links appear to be having issues now... hell, I at this point, I'd be satisfied if someone could uuencode them, print out the encoded files, snail mail them to me on post cards, so I could scan in the cards, convert the resulting rasters to text with an optical character reader and uudecode them into binaries. I'm DESPERATE!!!
.

That'd be a lot of text.....thousands of papers, Congressional report style boxes, FedEx or UPS trucks up the wazoo. Mind boggling.
Have you tried a download manager of some sort yet? Perhaps manually entering the URL into a program like Getright and then asking it to DL the files for you might yield better results. Or, I might end up investing in a paper company very soon. Either way, if you haven't already done so it could be worth a try.

Same would come if I would try to print all my 250mb (packed) manga. I think I could do it in school...

Easy solution: Get a fileplanet account and lie on the signup sheet. Easy as pie.

Don't you get charged for their premium services? I figured they'd require a credit card number or some other proof of payment before they let you in.

For the ordinary services you have to sign up to a free gamespy account as well (well at least I had to). For the pleasure of not waiting in a line you can pay.

Fahd's got it. You sign up for a Gamespy ID thingie (like I said, lie and use a spam account ) and that'll let you use their public - e.g. the 'wait in line' servers. If you want instant high-speed connections (or so goes their advertising) you have to pay, what, ~$7 a month or something?
