Here is a ship I designed while I was bored. It's not much to look at, and at first glance will even look like a rip-off of the standard six pod freighter from B5. This one is unique in that it has a variety of different pods available for each section, including regular cargo containers, a three Starfury cobra bay, a gunpod, or passenger quarters. Now in its default cargo carrying capacity, it is 0G, since there is no real need for gravity in that capacity. However, if it takes on passengers, or some cobra bays, the middle section of the ship can rotate. This gives the passengers some gravity, and the Starfuries some force to launch with. The gunpod contains two of the anti-fighter batteries from an Omega, as well as a stronger turret. The pod contains its own independent reactor to power the guns, so the ship itself doesn't need to. The entire forward section of the ship can also function independently of the rest of the ship, having its own engines and reactors. A shuttlebay provides room for two atmospheric shuttles. Default defenses of the ship include 3 light anti-fighter guns, one on the forward section, and two on the engine section. While this freighter isn't meant to be engaged in heavy combat, it can be used as an escort or support ship.



A slight problem however, is that it would be hell for a Starfuy pilot to land, since cobra bays are only meant for launching. Due to that, the rotational section could possibly halt for fighter recovery, and some articulated arms on the bay can help pull in damaged fighters. Also, since I can never come up with names, this freighter shall hereby be called the Untitled Class Multi-Purpose Freighter. With a few modifications to a fighter pod, making it more suited to Zephyrs, this could be a neat little raider ship.

Your design looks very clear in concept and retains the feel of EA ships. As an idea for your own personal gratification it is a very nice idea (though by no means the first time this has been suggested). AoG came up with the idea of allowing standard cargo transports in the service of Raiders to be retro fitted with Starfury launch bays instead of cargo pods. For raiders this didn't seem too bad an idea but the best part for this mod is that you wouldn't require a new model to implement it (I'm still not suggesting that it is actually included in the mod).

Here's another little sketch I made of them in action. The one is outfitted with 4 cobra bay pods and two gun pods, while the other two are purely cargo haulers. They are being assaulted by a Raider jumpship and fighters. There is a third party seemingly entering the fray, but I just added them because they looked neat.

We need Narn, Centauri, Minbari, and other non-canon designs, specifically for civilians too. No guarantees, but they could prove useful.

As for a Minbari transport, remember that ship that picked up Lennon in ITB when he met with the Grey Council? It's civilian-looking, and it's canon.

also, people can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think there are at least 2 sizes of lintira - there's the small one, Delenn's transport, that we have already, but in some shots of the Minbari fleet when it's shown I'm almost sure that there's another one that's around 200m in length.. it could be a trick of perspective, but I remember I was pretty certain of this at the time.
