when creating a mission in Fred2 and i want to use a ani for a message all it will let me use it the command and the pilot death, i checked the hud folder with in the data folder and there all there i just can't seem to get them to work

Actually this nice mistake from TBP crew, but its so small and nothing saying so missing it is prety logical.

Do this on Fred2
Write Message.
Go to Data\Hud\and selected file , open it.
And then close Events and open it again.
Check does it stay there, if not select it again and go through this once more.

PS. Only make one message at time and take always copy from it (copying and paste). It might clear message text.

Yeah, I noticed this curiosity too. I just reselected the ani file after the message had been written and all seemed to be fine.
