Oh, by the way... I just messed with Omega's rear beam turrets...
made them fire one by one, each fired up to three times after previous one had stopped (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4)... it looked beautiful firefight.

Dang, that's pretty. GJ guys! 
BTW IceFire, if you're listening I just thought I'd tell you that the mission I sent in for the contest a while back is really borked up after the recent patch install. Nothing I can't fix, but if you play it without changing the dock points on a couple ships to their new designation then the mission won't work right.

dont point out flaws i know them, i intend to bring the colour is the more "red/orange" direction, and correct the colour cut off on the beam glow, also give the image a less "perfect look" is another possibility, but i'll have to see how that turns out

Actually even when this new one looks more B5ish, old one is stylier. 
Edit: I prefer new one though, this is B5 TC...

I think that is not only a good idea as it is a cannon idea
If you look closely to " No surrender no retreat " youll see those frontal beams fire like that as well, it creates a good feeling to it.

Yes, thats a T-Bolt and its a joy to fly. Not nearly as destructive or manuverable as the Nial, but still a whole lot of fun to fly.
We've seen Omega's fire both beams at the same time as well as one after the other. Thats a matter of scripting in the mission as well. I can see us using alot of fire-beam scripts rather than all out beam-free events.

Yeah, I get the feeling that the beams will require a lot of scripting rather than free-firing. BTW, are you planning on making the aft beams as powerful or weaker than the frontal beams? Also, the same question goes for aft pulse cannons.
The Omega looks good as a model, although it goes without saying that texturing would make a world of difference 
Is this the final model of the Omega, or is there still a little work to be done?

I would like to see those 4 signaling poles made and placed around the Fighterbay, they're missing.

Can't wait until you guys manage to slap a texture on that Omega. Beams look awesome, way better than I could do (Although that's not saying much.) I really wish I could do stuff like that.
Anyone know if there are 3d editing programs you can make freespace models with that is cheaper than lightwave? I mean, come on! My car didn't cost as much as they want for LW.
t'would be really awesome to make some of my own stuff.

I just noticed that man. Could those be added in the next release? And is it possible to add lights to those poles like seen in the show? They don't have to flash but just be there.

I'll look into those poles.
In regards to fore and aft batteries. It works like this.
The pulse cannons are all heavy pulse cannons. Why? Because when we throw in a specific weapon for almost every ship, we will run out of weapons.tbl space. Not right now, but when we get close to being done. So for a relatively unimportant weapon like the back ones, the main pulse cannons will suffice.
The two forward beams are Standard X-Ray Laser Beams. The rear beams are Light X-Ray Laser beams. Why the second entry? Because it will be used on the Midwinter and possible other vessels. So in this case, its possible to justify the weapon.
