GameSpot poll.
Today GameSpot has a poll of a 'Which of these games do you want revived?', one of the choices is B5.
Obviously, your vote will go to that.
http://www.gamespot.com
It's currently in the lead with 23%, 1739 votes.

Let's all join together and support this openly
With enough support, even if they don't revive the original game then they may eventually make one at all.
Also, how about a B5 FPS, RTS or turn-based strategy game?

YES, a FPS. hit mr Morden with a D'Em'Bok, lol go to the casino and talk with Londo, then afterwards go to the cellblock G'Kar is in and listen to him being tortured, I mean singing lol, I would love to see them bring back into the fire, but I doubt that will happen.

OMG, a B5 staregy game... like those Homeworld mods... that would be SWEET....
If only I could mod SC...problem with HW is only 2 races...
ofcourse piloting a starfury is better

Actually, I quite like the idea of a fps-rpg hybrid (kinda like Deus Ex) for babylon 5. If they ever DO make a space sim it bloody well better have newtonian physics. I-War proved that newtonian physics doesn't completely ruin a game. Heck, Frontier Elite II proved that a long time ago, but hey.......
I do like the idea of a babylon 5 rts, but I was thinkng that they wouldn't need to base it off of Homeworld. It would be fun, but they could make one just as exciting and a lot more popular to the z-dimensionally challenged if they made one using the starcraft or tiberian sun game engine. Maybe the Star Trek Armada game engine would be better, but who knows.
Do any of you know if anyone is making a bab5 mod for Tachyon?

not enough people played tachyon to make modding it viable.. there's not much of an online community.. StarLancer maybe.
B5 would work as a deus ex style game, though the idea of having the whole 5 miles of B5 modelled as a multiplayer RPG a la everquest is a good one in my book -
hell, a futuristic MMORPG would sell well.. making one using the B5 license wouldn't hurt thouse sales figures and would make all the design process much easier. Sierra should, I say.

Cool, Babylon 5 won (as it should)! BTW, it would say 1945 votes if I had gotten there in time to put my piece in, but Gamespot changed their poll.

actually, there is a B5 mod for tachyon in the works, unfortunately I have no idea what their website is, but a guy claiming to be working on it was in the firstones Homeworld mod forum asking for help texturing his vorchan.

Does anyone think that this poll will change anything? Will it get companies (ie, Sierra) to either start to make a B5 game or (as in the case of Sierra) resume making a B5 game? I very much doubt it myself.

No, it won't change anything. But it's nice to know we're not alone.
