Thirdspace Vs The Hand
As I am quite literally KING of making ongoing debates (the last one AND first one I started has over one hundred replies and the debate is still going), I would like to start another. lets see, hmmmmm, what can I talk about today.........Ahha! How do you think is worst, the Hand or the Thirdspace aliens. I know nobody has actually seen "The Hand" in action, but I have read some of the "The Lengend Of The Rangers" film and it sounds like The Hand are pretty weedy. I know the Thirdspace aliens are nothing to shout about (there fighters weapons could have been better), but still, my money is on Thirdspace. Ps If anybody wants to see a small picture of what looks like a Hand ship coming out of a jump point, go to the Sci-Fi website, there is one on there along with some trailers (which I can use for some @#~!ing reason).

Well I have absolutely no idea about the Hand but the Thirdspace aliens were at least on a par with the Vorlons (they just had fewer ships), with fantastic fighters (I've never seen another fighter so durable or one that can take out Whitestars so easily).

as i recall the drakh fighters are about the smae sort of size as those 3rd space fighters and a drakh weapons could chop up whitestars without to much difficulty - but on fighters my money is on the vorlon fighter- packs serious firepower although not not that durable - i's say once its armour adapted to wepons fire it could take at least the same as the 3rd space ship - what was 4 shots to take out a 3rd space ship i bleive or maybe that was jsut to take down tehre shields - its unclear- but its same to assume though that once there sheilds went down they would be in trouble since i didn't seen anything that looked like bioarmor on those ships - i wonder what loriens races battleships could do??? being the oldest race in exsistance i'm betting they packed some SERIOUS firepower after all they foudn teh shadows and vorlons and taught them how to venture into space so they were long way ahead of them

Lorien's race may not have had any battleships, cruisers, or serious warships whatsoever.

Actually, the starfuries had to shoot 4 times BEFORE THEY EVEN NOTICED. As for the size comprison the drakh ship is quite a bit larger, almost as big as the whitestar, while the Thirdspace alien is about a Quater size of a white star. But to me the Thirdspace guns caused more internal damage rather than external.

Actually, Whitestars and Thirdspace fighters are the same size. There's a good size comparison in Thirdspace where a whitestar and a Thirdspace fighter are going head to head, very close. The result is mutual destruction, but the point is they were both the same size. Drakh ships are also, IIRC, the same size as whitestars.

Thats the new (old?) ranger ship, called the Liandra.
Thirdspace fighters and Drakh Raiders are roughly the same size, they are not as big as WhiteStars. Nearly, but not quite.

that looks more like a subspace rift than a jump point - have they changed the effect again?

In one scene a starfury shot like 15-20 shot at it and it didn't cause ANY damage. I'd go for that starfury guns can't penetrate those shields at all.

Either yours or my eyes are seriously screwed up because I saw no such scene.
There was a scene Starfury and Tridspace ship were having a litle match, but the Fury shot about 5 times max (about 5 x 2 = 10 bolts).
I don't about how much damage it caused... At least little to the shields...

Ok, not maybe 15-20, but definitely more than 5, I'm watching the movie right now, so I'm pretty sure about this.
