i finally descided that i would have to texture this thing - still trying tofind suitable skins for it no luck so far so i made one of my own and even just adding 1 texture it improves it alot i think hopefully when its finished it will look great

It's starting to look a lot nicer but the main texture needs improving. As far as possible I would use a texture basically identical to the Warlock.

its not too bad.. the similarity to the nova/omega and warlock is obviously intentional.. you might say that its a modified warlock for example.

Those hangars are so tall. What would they look if you'd remove the section under the door and make it look like the upper section (the one above the door).
Nobody understood a word what I was trying to tell.....

Position your finger (piece of paper, CD case etc.) on the picture so that you can see half of the hangar pod. So you can't see anything below the hangar bay door (has red lights and fighters go in and out from it).
So, if you did it correctly, you should be able to see the upper half of the hangar pod. Now imagine if the lower section (that what you cant see because your finger (piece of paper, CD case etc.) is on the way) would look like the upper section (that what you can see). So the upper section and the lower section would be identical (lower section should be upside down, ofcourse)...
If that does not help... I'll give up and die as a broken man...

it appears that you used a bump map for your polygon armor texture...use diffuse and specular instead, see how it looks
and put generic_panels on all the rest of the surfaces until you get decent textures... will improve a lot
beams look good.

Did they ever show the warlock main beam cannon fire in any of the B5 series or movies?
