I've been tinkering with the weapons and sounds of the game and have several new ones, especially made for the new ships from Homeworld released just recently for TBP. The new sounds and weapons are:

Cannons for Frazi (sound only)
Ion cannons for Sentri (sound and effects)
Heavy Ion cannons for Vorchan (sound and effects)
Cannons for Hyperion (sounds from ITB, modified effects)

still working on new sounds and effects for Drazi and Shadow ships. If anyone wants to have a peak just ask and I'll happily e-mail you my sounds.tbl, weapons.tbl, ships.tbl, and the new sound files (in .wav format). I have to e-mail them individually, I don't yet know how to put them into one file. Also, it would be a good idea to make a copy of your original sounds.tbl, weapons.tbl, and ships.tbl files before using mine, just in case you wish to go back to TBP originals.

You could pack them with winzip. Then you have one file.

PS How many megs those files are.

files aren't very big 'cause they are mainly just the .tbl files, running around 20 to 60 KB, the sound files are smaller, around 8 to 15 KB. So really it's not a very big thing.

ok, those people who wanted them should've gotten them by now. I'll be the first to admit they aren't great, it was sorta a bored-nothing-to-do weekend project.
