When's the Thunderbolt gonna be available?

I'm a huge Thunderbolt fan, and was just wundering there's a ruff guess as to when they'll be available in TBP for someone to create a mission with. I'm almost dieing to fly one against raiders or Furys or Nials.

That would be great... As the next release seems to be far away, that would hold us alive till then. All what we got from the TBP until know is so stunningly fantastic... I'm almost dying for more, too!

yeah when you guys finish the t-bolt just release it as a MOD

maybe have it added to the ships table from the first release. we just want that ship to badly!

If everyone carries on like this, you'll want an update every week for that new sound when you fly past a certain ship etc... just hang in there and wait for the next release, will make it that much sweeter when it arrives

There's just so much gonna happen in my life untill the next release comes out... It's just horrible... Almost as if I had become addicted to drugs and then been told the next spacefreighter won't arrive before the end of the decade. The only thing holding me alive is the sporadic release of new missions...

If I just had the time to get familiar with mission creation, I would do my own ones... *sigh*

heh, would you prefer having a new ship every month with a new sound effect zip file and new mission every few weeks, or would you rather wait 6 months then get a brilliant shiny new package of new ships and missions? :P

Well...

I would prefer some tiny add-ons or patches to the releases that are out while waiting for the next release with new races, campaigns and perhaps features. That means perhaps add 1 or two ships for the races that came with the last release so that the TBP fans can build more missions for the fandom to shorten the time to the next release. And if there is the possibility to even out one or two bugs that may be found before the next release, that would be great, too.

I don't think that sounds too stupid, but that's only my opinion. No one has to agree with it. And if noone does, tell me please!

I do believe that to my mildley bored mind a new patch every so often isn't such a bad idea for several reasons:

1. Having a new ship available for download upon its completion who greatly reduce the size of the final release downloads, which would be highly advantagious to those of us who have connections comparable in speed to, oh say, a garden slug.

2. It would provide more time for bugs in the ships and other components to be found and removed.

3. Im bored out of my skull right now.

4. The Nials are to damn hard to kill with just two guns and a relativley slow ship.

5. There are ships that I want to fly to...


So you can probally see were my line of reasoning is coming from and if i happen to have said something that is problematic please either let me know or deal with it on your own.

PS: About the Nials: Just add "Neutron Guns" to the allowed weapons for the Starfury and you'll have a custom "Special Ranger Starfury Fighter sponsored by The One" ... Have fun hunting Nials and cap ships!

Sorry, the Thunderbolt will not be released until the next release comes out. We're not going through the hassle of making incremental updates. Its large packages with all at once.

The reason you guys are liking the First Release so much is because we spent alot of extra time on it. We'll be doing the same here.

Other point being, if we release the Thunderbolt, then in a few weeks it will be the Omega. And then it will be the Warlock and so on and so forth.

well i made a misson
it took me allday, i must of tested it like 14 times, hell i never want to play it again .
dam ship wouldn't jump out then sumthin else went wrong. but i finished it (at last) .

Ok then... will only come here to look for missions as the fans can't change anything... See you all next year. I'll go crying...

I simply don't know what to do... now we got some part of this great game and everyone is telling: That's it... Play a little and be happy that it might be possible you will get something new if you are so lucky to remember it existed then...

This is not to offend the TBP team... It's unbelievable someone can spend so much of free time to make such a great TC. It's just the fact that it has to be the way it is and nobody can change that...

Any suggestions? If not, let me alone in my sadness... "Jump! Now!" ... "And so it begins..."

I don't know how one statement means "fans can't change anything" except that we are fans too and we've had to consider all options.

We had discussion on how we would release things following the first release and the point is that incremental releases will not work. We're glad that you guys had the same discussion, but im telling you right now what the conclusion to that answer was in no uncertain terms.

Fans have influenced things like making sure the Bin'tak and EA BlackOps ships get in the MOD. So don't discount your opinions straight off the bat, but consider them first.
