Long Term Plan

I've been taking a huge break from BWO lately to deal with The Babylon Project so things have been a little slow for BWO. Despite that, our missions are turning out quite nicely (those that are done).

I think we've done the first 1/3rd of the missions roughly now. They aren't finished, but getting there. Balanced nicely I might add!

We've been rebuilding some of our MOD ships and rebalancing them a bit. Bobboau has contributed the lions share of the support in this area and Styxx and Shrike have also contributed to our pile of models. We're still looking at a few more before thats all done (but it really doesn't stop much of our mission building).

We will be rebuilding and revamping our website sometime in the next 6 months. When we start releasing major quantities of new information (fiction, renders, ship stats), thats when you'll see it. Right now its just a gleam in my eye.

We're also working on getting many of our MOD vessels textured. We've been working from some temporary textures for some of the new ships and we'd really like to solidify a look for Sol ships that is contrasted with the look of GTVA vessels. Definately looking for a darker and more grungy "abused" look to the Sol ships.

We hope to have a texturer on that job shortly, but it may take some time. We definately don't want to show off our new ships until they are looking their best .

On another note, I'm almost fully recovered from my data loss a few months ago, so I should be back in business really soon.

(I know this took a long time, but no one actually took out my professors like I so politely asked for in another thread)

I was about to take them out with a Helios...but then I remember that that might be overkill....so by the time I found enough Trebuchets for the job....they were gone.

Tsk, you should have used Harpoons on the teachers' sensors. Then they wouldn't be able to tell Dynamo's not there.

Hey kids...

I know I said that there would be a demo back in the mists of time; I seem to have been distorting the truth. Really, I have a load of missions that were going to be the demo, but I or IceFire (damn you, IceFire!) thought them too derivative, rushed, etc etc for release.

So anyway, I have a huuuugeee pile of out-take missions, which will be released at some point as a bit of a joke.

However, just recently I've got some missions back on track, which should be more atmospheric whilst still being fun. I'm working on them right now, actually, and hopefully these will be the ones that are worth releasing. I HOPE.

If the project drags on a bit longer, as I predict that it will due to heay student workloads (I'm writing a 4000 word investigation this week, for example) I have a second demo planned, which I would really like to do. Whereas the first demo deals with the state of the GTVA before the completion of the Charon, the second demo will focus on events in Sol at the same time. Yay!

So...that's all for now. I need to go test this mission.
