Cool Hi everybody

I finally came out of the shadows to tell you all how I like the demo. However I am concerned with one thing. Fighters look to me quite useless against anything but fighters. I know that it is like that in the show as well. That fighters do not really provide the bang. But it is kinda boring that the mission happens like that no matter what you do. Practicaly the only thing that you need to do in the demo missions is to stay alive. Everything else happens more or less without you doing anything. You would not even have to be there. I know I know that in reality it would be like that. But a game has to be interesting as well. How interesting is sitting and watching how your novas get cut down by sharlins and you can just sit there and do nothing? Mayhap a little stronger fighter weapons would be nice. Or something. I tried to make a mission with raiders trying to capture a lone Corvette. And I had 12 raider fighters in there. They got sloughtered. I mean come on. Freespace can not handle huge amounts of fighters. Therefore 12 fighters even though the weakest should count for something. Maybe increase the rate of fire. Because unless you are flying a nail, you can not really do much damage to a capital ship without at least 4 wings of fighters. And that limits the possibilities in missions quite a lot. If you need just 12 to 20 fighters to take down a corvette, what are you going to do when you want a mission where you need to take down 2? You just going to spit out fighters? There are only so many fighters that a ship can carry in Babylon 5. Maybe not as strong as a nial, but at least a little bit better. Give the fighters a little more power for the playability's sake. Or maybe do some bombers style fighters that could pose a challange to the cap ships. Because otherwise the player will not be takeing down capships without spending half an hour pounding it with its cannons.

This is just my opinion. Otherwise I am very happy with what I got. Models are beautifull, voice acting superb. I have no other objections except the balance. The mod is at least equal to the old game and I would say in some areas (As in the idea with Earth orbit) even better made. I love it. If you guy's need help with some mission makeing, or voice acting, lemme know. I will be glad to help.

the point is that in the earth minbari war earth was complete outclasses the only way other than sheridans nuking them that any minbari ships were destroyed was with them being rammed by novas - things like the ea civial war and the narn centuary missions will be closer balanced

and there are bombers coming the badger will have a frightning firepower but its also as slow as slug and manerabily half as good and it will even carry torpedos which will hurt cap ships nicely

this was my concern too, but mission 2 demands your attention i assure you.

i hope the mission i am making will be very will balanced.

come on people its time to make some decent missions !
