Incorrect geometry? that is because is an Old model.. Ask IPAndrews maybe for a new model since he maked me the UV mapping for the newer model.

I did a decent UV map for the new Frazi yes, and I've only got better at UV mapping since then. So I can do it again if need be. Yes. For a change, this is one job I can actually do. I'm sure Wildlife and E1 can do it too though .

talk about doing things outside of the team. this is exactly why we inform each other of our plans. i spent 3 hours making the map for wildlifes version and now you come along and says its the old model ???? well excuse me....what the change in this new model exactly and i would like to see a picture of it and its uv map. i doubt it could be much better than the one i created for this version....

Before you two start fighting each other, just chiil, take a step back, count to 100, and then chill some more.

Co-ordination is key.

I think we all know that, I know we had some problems a while back with the Babylon 5 model and I know that it was mostly my fault for not keeping tabs on things. It was also the lesser fault of the two modelers who weren't in as close contact as they could have been, but thats all hindsight and that doesn't mean that they are bad people or anything of the sort, but things happen like this. We try and prevent them, but it will not always work out perfectly and this is one such circumstance.

This is an imperfect world....everyone on the planet was reminded of that fact just recently.

I had a go at UV mapping the Frazi because Tomcat asked me to & because I wanted to learn how to UV map. As E1 says, the Frazi is great for this.

Everyone should UV map the Frazi at least once .

I do seem to remember asking Tomcat to make the model symetrical so that it could be UV mapped more accurately. That's probably the new version he's talking about. Anyone who wants to do a decent job will need that. You can do it yourself easily enough though. Chop in 1/2, copy, mirror, rejoin.

It's simple. The Frazi is yours. You do it. This is the official line on the ship unless I've misunderstood the posts in this thread.

You may find the model you have is non-symetrical. That'll make it hard to map. Bare that in mind. Tomcat did a symetrical model but I don't have it. I deleted it after I sent a uv mapped version back to Tomcat. Sorry TC.
