Before we do the campaigns we can already record the generic messages .
Generic messages are messages dealing with common situations on the battlefield . They are mainly triggered by the players behavior and have nothing to do with the mission itself.

For example , if you order a wingman to do something he replies . If you shoot upon friendly ships they tell you to stop that . If ships are under heavy fire they ask for assistance.

Here is your assignment :


player : the player's ship
sender : the ship sending this generic message

name - event triggering the message

allclear : ( all hostile targets neutralised )
arrival : ( enemy ships have jumped in )
attack : ( sender confirming an attack order )
backup : ( reporting reinforcements are standing by )
beta : ( reporting beta wing is standing by )
check : ( alarming player to watch his back )
death : ( sender dying , should be a scream . )
delta : ( reporting delta wing is ready )
depart : ( sender about to leave )
disable : ( confirming order to destroy a targets engines )
disarm : ( confirming order to destroy a targets weapons )
engage : ( confirming order to attack enemy )
epsilon : ( reporting epsilon win standing by )
gamma : ( reporting gamma wing standing by )
help : ( sender requesting assistance )
ignore : ( confirming order to ignore a target )
no : ( sender saying no , denying something )
notarget : ( sender telling player target is no valid target )
oops : ( sender telling player that player he is shooting upon him ! )
p_dead : ( player has died )
praise : ( confirming player killed an enemy )
rearm : ( sender calling rearm )
repair : ( sender calling repair craft )
stray : ( sender telling player to stick to mission objectives )
traitor : ( player is a traitor , sender comments on that )
yes : ( sender sying yes )

These are 26 generic messages. An anonymous pilot must have these . And even the main characters who will fly together with you need to have generic messages .

The point is that you can decide on our own what text you want for the specific event .

For example :
allclear : This is a generic message played when a battle event took place and all enemies have been neutralised.
So , imagine something nice a pilot could say .
Perhaps :
- Got'em ! Another heap of jackasses down !
- Grandslam ! I love the job !
- Situation nominal . All enemy units neutralised .
- We won , you lost . Hehehe .
or for arrival :
- Oh oh ! We have company .
- Wake up guys ! Hostiles inbound !

So . Interested ?
name your files NICKNAME-EVENT.mp3
So , if I make these files I name them
skullar-allclear.mp3
skullar-arrival.mp3
skullar-attack.mp3
.
.
and so on.

When you are ready put all files in a rar or a zip and send it to us.
Make sure your samples aren't unnecessary big , that means cut out the silence ( takes memory as well ) and remember all the tips I and BlackSheep gave you in the Voiceacting topic.

those arrivals : beta , gamma delta and epsilon mean that the pilot arrives with one of these squads !

normally i would have said :
just send them to blacksheep or me.
It's just I have a 10MB eMail account. If all send at once the stuff will get lost.
Main point is that Seether is creating an EASY way to upload your stuff on his FTP-server , thats what I am waiting for.

Just wanted to say great things will happen whenever B5 fans get together. I can't wait till the release and anything I can do to help out I'll do. I was wondering if there were any official notices for voiceactors or anything like that. Or should I just send stuff in and if you use it cool if not.... whatever?

I did that and posted a sample. I was one of the first ones in. I was just wondering if you guys were going to cast people or what? or could I just send in my take on the generic voice?

Seether.... Are you a Vorlon? haha your answer was worthy of the name Kosh. I don't think I will be able to do anything with this Mod cos I don't know enough now. I mean what software and stuff do you use and where can I obtain copies or DL's?
