Lightbulb Turrets

I know somone that could show you how to get the brod side turrets on your ships to work go to HLP ask Warlock he can show you how to make them work.

they wont be rotating, i'm the FreeSpace 2 engine expert around here, and i would know about how to do side rotationals if it were possible

I dont know if this is what Kazan ment, the turrents would be stationary, but the barrels could elevate to 90 degress and fire brodside that way.

It isn't that what Kazan's talking about....turret rotation is heavily hardcoded, meaning they rotate only according to fs2 y-axis and barrels according to x-axis. There is no way to change this. We've tested things like Deimos from fs2 beta which had lateral turrets, they don't work in the actual release. Volition had the support comÃÂ_ng out, but for some reason they scrapped it.

Look, im succeeding in clearing up the whole "turrent" thing. Back on the ole VBB....everyone was spelling it like that....until I set them straight...now even only a few of the new board members spell it that strange way.
