The Toddz has posted Friday's update.
Here's the scoop:

A Screenshot, of course, showing Parker facing off with a Merc, both with Precision Rifles, but the Merc is actually shooting, and Parker's kinda looking at him. Nice muzzle flash shot if you're interested in what that looks like.

And a Multiplayer Update Thing!!! Woohoo! Okay, the words of Todd himself: Today's [update] also marks the beginning of a new Multiplayer feature! In further weekly updates, we will detail a multiplayer mode included in Red Faction as well as feature 2 sample maps for this mode. This week's mode is Classic Deathmatch.

What does this mean for you? It means that not only do you get info on two maps, each map comes with six screenshots, giving you a total of twelve to drool at...and that's just this update alone. (Well, fourteen if you include the two that are just "this is the map" shots, but not actual multiplayer) ... that's right, fifteen (including the SSOtW) total screenshots in this update. Yay.

Oh, at least 17 classic DM maps will be included in RF PC - that doesn't even count the other gameplay types that'll have their own maps. Whee!

Anyway, the two maps listed are Killbox which is for 4-8 players in a warehouse-like-thing, and Watch Your Step which looks like a heavy industrial park...on Mars, of course. Reccomended players for that is 4-10.

If you're interested in what player models look like in multiplayer, be sure to check out these shots, since some of them have player models in view.

Oh, and dynamic lighting? Did I mention dynamic lighting? I didn't? Check the shots of Watch Your Step (specifically the bottom row, center pic) and let those annoying rumors be laid to rest. It's there, kids. (Honestly, did you think they'd leave that out? C'mon.)
