Is the mod going to be co-operative?
From what I got to play of Freespace 2 before it started crashing, I felt that it was a really good game.
But like all good games, there was something missing. Co-Op play. It would've been so cool to be able to play through the game in a wing with your mates. The engine can handle it, but for some reason, Volition decided not to bother.
So I was just wondering if you guys were gonna make some Co-Op campaigns in the mod. I'm sure that some of you would like the idea of blowing up some Shadows in a wing of Star Furys (<--the extent of my B5 knowledge ), with your friends covering your tail...
So is it gonna be Co-Op?

well, you know as well as I that I like coop play too, so..
If nobody else does, I, personally, will convert missions into multiplayer cooperative missions. This would probably be a simple case of making another starfury flyable anyway.
Unfortunately, the Freespace 2 engine can't run a campaign script in multiplayer, only single missions.
This isn't too much of a problem, but players would have to suspend their disbelief, as the missions would have to be loaded the same way as regular multiplayer ones.
Also, no events could be passed from one mission to the next either.
But still, a group of missions with a story played in order still makes a campaign, and some other coop games, like Hidden and Dangerous, don't pass any values into the next missions anyway.
Unless the source code for FS2 is released, which it never will be, then that is the best that's going to happen.

Ummm....I think multiplayer campaigns are possible. Atleast that's what I've heard, never actually played fs2 multiplay myself.

FS2 does actually has seperate coop campaign. Not as good as the single player of course, but good. And converting regular multiplayer to coop is easy.
I am assuming, of course, that the B5 mod will at least have multiplayer.
