OT- Wish me Luck

Please wish my team and myself luck at our tournament tommorow, we play 3 70minutes full field games.

We will be playing number 1 seated Muscatine, and the number 2 seated team [cannot remember where from] and some other team tommorow. We actually have six games but they're split between two squads of players, partially because they are played simulatenously.

[Actually there are so many games going on that there will be 4 games going on at the same time in 3 rounds of games... the facility has 10 world-class fields... we love those fields]

being the ref is easier than being the center striker

I think not. Being the ref requires you to be constantly watching for infractions of the rules, watching the offside line (meaning your with the play - unless your a lazy ref and just stand at center), taking heat from coaches who don't know what the hell they are talking about, and taking heat from parents who are way too competive for being just a spectator.

You try being a ref Kazan...its not easy at all.

Well, being a player, you oftentimes have to find the best way to get around the Ref

1st Game: We lost 4-3, should have won, 5 minutes left leading 3-1 and our defense TAKES A F***ING NAP! I could just kill them.

2nd Game: Same story [little different timeing on the coffee break] but it was 3-2

3rd Game: WE GOT ROBBED! We dominated the other team in every aspect of the game. We had a ref that IceFire would be embarassed for, the other ref sure was. We're leading 1-0, 2 minutes left, oppositing team has a corner - one of the other teams guys shuves down two of our guys [they had some fatboys], another pushes one of our defenders then trips over the ball.... The ref awards THEM A PK! WTF?! Worst call in the history, afterwards the assistant ref apologized for the chief refs call.. and our couch just about got red carded by the chief ref.

The Other Squad
[Us-Them]
0-1
0-1
2-0

He must be a really crappy ref. You don't card coaches....you just throw them out.

Throwing them out is giving them a red card. You can do it to spectators too

But you don't give them a red card. Its not the same thing. Cards only apply to players on the field (or off the field perhaps). Cards are also cumulative while throwing a coach out is just an action. Infact, that requires more paperwork than throwing a player out with a red card. Believe you me.

Soccer , yes yes yes .
Yesterday Trier ( where I live ) played against Karlsruhe ( another german city ). Both teams want to make it into the national league. Trier won and the hooligans from Karlsruhe were so frustrated they destroyed the local BURGER KING restaurant where I usually get my chicken wings.
For the next days I can cancel that .

Well, Germany is not as hard as England.
lol
