Ol, first of all, I feel kinda stupid. I wrote all this stuff that you see below first, and only then noticed that there were 2 other pages of screenshots! Anyway, I hadn't pressed the "Submit Reply" button yet, so I didn't have to post all this and none of you would have ever discovered any of this. But alas, I couldn't just toss away all this wonderful speculation just like that! Hence this first part. I have no time right now to look at the really new pics, but when I get a chance I will, trust me! I won't leave you all in the dark without my powers of deduction!
Ok, here's the original post. Sorry if it's about 6 months outdated!
OK, first thing I see is in screenie #16:
Red 1 & 2 are chattering away from their Apollos while guarding a transport about to board an enemy GTVA ship, a GTL Aurora-class?? What the heck is an Aurora-class? And what does the L in GTL stand for, Liability?
Meanwhile, the player is flying a Peresus fighter. Captured? Stolen plans from the GTVA? Or maybe it's the players fighter that he flew when he decided on fighting for Sol... I tend towards the latter, because the armaments are all GTVA weapons, even though it could be that they we're stolen, too. Hmmmm....
Also, what's this "Coalition" being talked about? Apearently it's some nominally pro-Sol force, because it's being talked about as if it has been a "dissappointment" that they haven't aided Sol; "No cares for our problems."
There's also a contradiction here: the radar shows four red blips in front of the player, corresponding to the 2 apollo's, the disabled GTL and the transport. But in the escort list, the GTT shows as grey, i.e. friendly. And why the heck can the player hear the chatter going on between Red 1 & 2 if they're enemies?
There is also one ship that is unknown here. Alpha wing has 2 ships, player and Alpha 2. There are three friendly blips behind the player; one for Alpha 2 and one for?
Last for this pic, a typo: "shepard" is spelt "shepherd".
On to pic 17. Ok, here we have the explanation of what the GTL stands for: Liner. The GTL Europa Star from the previous pic is in the escort list in this one, and there is a directive of "Protect Liner". One and one equals four, and all that.
Not much else to be gleaned from this pic, aside from a question: Sol's fighter and bomber wings have designations of colors - black, blue, etc, and weird names like Atla, Garm, Astrid and Surt. But there seems to be no reason for them to have changed from the old GTA designations of alpha and beta. Is this just to avoid confusion?
Ok on to pic 18. This one is apearently from earlier on in the same mission because of the directives, escort ships and fighter wing display. Only thing worth mentioning here that I can see is that the GTVA ships are attacking a Vasudan freighter. The pictue comment states that it's a rogue freighter that is trying to "take out" the Europa Star. In what way? Is it trying to kamakazie or is it just shooting at the GTL? Those freighters had pretty annoying Mekhu's, if I recall correctly. It's an old freighter whose class existed back in the days of the GTA, so it could be a ship that got trapped in Sol. Then again, it could be a "modern" Vasudan ship trying to run a blockade of some sort into Sol, maybe to reach it's long lost comrades? Or it could be just another "beat the dead horse" rebellious faction bent on death, destruction and contacting the Shivans.
One last thing about the freighter: That ain't no Vasudan name for a ship! Which leads to all sorts of speculation that I won't get into here.
Next pic, number 19, in the middle of a rainstorm. Again, same mission, later on. Only enemy ships left are 2 apollo fighters from Blue wing.
And that's about all I can get from the pics.
