Well, I can only play it at my dad's since my modem went dead, and he uses AOL v5.0; would that have anything to do with it? I know he did something with it and now AIM only works intermittently over there.

AOL is proxy based.

That = bad

I think you need some special settings. Set it to LAN for starters.
