Who's played this great game?
I have the multi demo, and it's all I've been playing the past two weeks. Great game.

I have the full game, it rules. it's not tremendously beautifull, but it's full opf great ideas, and, mainly, it's so fun I still can't believe it ( tho the balance in solo is crap: all the campaign is well balanced, but the last mission is... well, to put it simple, I loaded back my game about 60 times already... I still progress, but damn slowly... it's the last mission, and you know it lol )

waiting for another couple patches...I loved the demo but I'm not sold on single just yet. Plus I wanna see about that flying-vehicles patch (yeah they're gonna have it so you can fly Orcas. Oh yeah.)

The singleplayer campaign I think at times is a little schitzo balance wise. You have some fast paced easy missions that are almost cinematic and you wonder "what happened?" and the next mission is *long* and barely any ammo.
You can pretty much tell who made what mission from how it plays.
Now in "All Brains no Brawn" I keep on dying, a godmode cheat would be nice about now (so I can at least get through the SP campaign)
Anyhow the Orca patch should be fun.
*Why can't C&C:R have geomod?*

Yeah, im playing in normal. Its tough slugging.
Inside the temple is bloody impossible so far. Did I mention I hate the wall mounted turrets.....I HATE THE WALL MOUNTED TURRETS.
But multiplayer is fun as hell. Graphics are a little less than some of the other stuff about apparently, but since I haven't played any of it, the graphics seem fine to me. Wolfenstine doesn't have Mammoth tanks anyways

I have played the full version, it is not all that good in my opinion.
Pretty much same as all previous FPS-games, nothing new really... only new environments and stuff, that's it.
Haven't played multiplayer but single player campaign is boring at best, not worth of your bucks if you ask me.

What's everyone's preference for weapons and vehicles? (I so need to buy it for myself.)
On GDI, I like Patch (Tiberium Flechette Gun) and whichever one has the Personal Ion Cannon (Sydney, I think it is.) For vehicles, Mobile Rocket Launcher System and Mammoth Tank.
On Nod, I like two of the Black Hands (Laser Chaingun, Laser Rifle + Cloak when not shooting) and Mendoza (Volt Auto Rifle). For vehicles, Mobile Artillery and Flame Tank.

hem, yeah, right. team play in solo, the feeling to be in a real war with all those helicopters dogfighting above the battlefield, the fact that save IGI, no FPS has such large maps ( the one where you cross many mountains, go throught another one, then an electrical barrage, then a nod base etc, is a good exemple), the fact that you can drive vehicles that are really useful and easy to handle, a incredible number of different enemies, good graphisms ( they could be excellent, it's just that they used a style of mapping that doesn't give a real feeling, much more a cartoon one), weapons that are all actually balanced perfectly, dozens of objectives to accomplish during a single mission, just like if a ghiant dude behind a scree, told you to go there, and there, and there, and blow that. fast paced action, with a quite good plot with twists and turns, original levels, etc etc etc.
I don't know what more you want.
BTW, I hate wall turrets too, but I have even more the damn rocket soldiers
My favourite units have to be the stealth tank and the stealth soldier of the nod. the mammoth is really too slow for my own tastes. Sydney is cool too, but when you buy it, you can be sure you'll be sniped in a couple minutes

Serous Sam has some pretty damn big maps, some comparable to Renegade and IGI...
So does Ghost Recon now that I think about it...

GR's maps don't feel that big to me ...
As for playing characters, Sydney in the Prototype Assault Suit has the ion cannon, and I rarely get sniped because I keep moving ... I like Patch's flechette gun, and Sydney without her assault suit has a tiberium rifle that might suck for damage but it lays down one hell of a covering fire because of the spread of all those green tiberium bolts ...
Tankwise, Mammoths. I can annihilate anything with the missiles or with the guns.
I don't like the MLRS at all, but I do like the Nod Buggy (I like how it's faster than the Humvee) and Mobile Artillery...light tank is meh, stealth is more fun, IMO.
Also, playing as a Technician or Hotwire is so the win because you can really do bad things to enemy tanks with C4.
I like Havoc and his ramjet sniper rifle or whatever the hell it is. Pretty decent at taking out light vehicles and infantry

well, it seems I'm playing agaisnt really tough guys, they can snipe anything whatever speed you're running at, even if you side strafe left right, jump like crazy or anything, everytime it's headshot damn snipers lol
I kill a lot of snipers when i'm in the GDI medium tank, they're always camping at the same places and, dunno why, with the Abrams, I can do great head shots ( and with a tank shell, it's quite effective lol)
yeah, I like the tiberium weapons too in the corridors, nothing is more nasty than the chemical warrior I got to kill a mammoth with one of those guys, I still can't believe it ( I tell you the mammoth sucks, I killed two of them in a minute just with a punny flame tank, but a MRLS got me just after )
Nod forever!!!! can't wait to fly an apache and teach the GDI how well can orcas be shot down

Did you know that the new patch sucks? It won't let me have more than 4 people when I run a server, and I've done 8 without a problem! On the plus side, the rate of fire of the machine gun turrets of the Humvee/Buggy and the APCs is at least doubled, which is really nice.
EDIT: Flame Tanks are by no means puny. Despite their short range, the twin flamethrowers are the most powerful vehicle weapon.

yeah, make a run with two flame tanks against the adv guard tower you'll love the result
Dunno for the last patch, just noticed it added new skins for some character classes.

Heck, you can do it even with a single Flametank!
BTW, you can aim vehicles' turrets independently of the drive system (the way it works when a passenger is the gunner) by holding V. This even works with the MRLS; it causes the missiles to curve toward whatever's in your brackets. If you position yourself just right, you can even hit the Obelisk from outside its' field of fire; the only buildings you aren't able to hit is the Powerplant and the Turret closest to the access tunnels Thus the Nod base setup blows big meaty chunks.
EDIT: The Mammoth Tank is awesome, but it can't hit something pressing up against it like a Flame Tank. Otherwise it rocks.
