there some new weapons for people to play with
note the ion cannon is very powerful weapon and the other two are jsut the same but different colour - one was supposed to be shivan the other gtva - the gtva one was never intended for release it was just the prototype of the red one which was for the shivan hidden terror

I guess I'll have to change the name of my Vulcan cannon... it was supposed to be a really fast-firing laser.

The Vulcan will not be featured in Twilight, however it is based off of the GTW-01a Vulcan within Cardinal Spear, a FreeSpace 1 campaign set during the Terran-Vasudan war. (a re-release of it will be coming soon)
The Vulcan is intended to be a relativistic weapon which was used by the GTA as a stable weapon delivery system since the formation of the alliance.

I told Max that it might be a good idea to do that as a Reflex cannon for the Robotech mod, and he shrugged it off. I don't blame him.

Autocannon, actually.
Why don't you check out Shrike's Arsenal? There should be almost anything you're looking for.......and if it isn't, it's probably in the as-yet unreleased v.2.0

An autocannon implies something of larger caliber. IIRC, the Avenger was 45mm or something.
