How to Build FS3 without using fred.

Picture this, A half life MOD using the fs universe. Youd say, never happen, too complicated. Youd be right. But. A Red Faction Engine version would. V would help a little more than usual since, it would after all help sell both red faction and Fs2.

The thing is, itd be fun to do, fun to play. And if enough people love it and get into the Fs universe Fs3 is one step closer to a reality.

If there is an FS3, it'll most likely be made by VW using the FS2 engine, with info leaked by the Volition writers. :P

Does copyright actually mean something to you? Darn shame.

Copyright means a blardy lot thank you. I dont want such an effort to be wasted due to legal issues.

You CANNOT PUBLISH a game which you hold no rights to or have no licensed rights to.

However, we CAN put our efforts behind creating a "MOD" and go the way counter-strike went. If we can put together an impressive enough "mod" than maybe Interplay will see the potential - more money coming in for a old game, that they would consider releasing a FS3.

Their development costs will be zero, but the group that creates the "mod" gets a cut - royalties or maybe contract deal.

If its good enough, you'll fid game companies knocking on your door to hire you.

But Volition, the FS developers, are no longer developing for Interplay because THQ bought them at the end of last July. And if Volition isn't gonna develop a real FS3, I'd rather see it not done.
