An image has been created for DesCentral; it depicts a city with ships flying in and out. The ships are from two titles: Descent and FreeSpace. The image of the city has been finished, but it needs two ships from FreeSpace (one ship from each). We have already found an artist who has agreed to help us. He has the models and is waiting for us to state which two we want. We haven't selected two models yet, because there are several ships and we don't know which one is the most popular one. The [url="http://pub8.ezboard.com/fbofdescentralannouncements.showMessage?topicID=36.topic"]poll[/url] we have created is one of two polls. This poll asks you to choose your most favorite fighter from Descent: FreeSpace. Later we will create the second poll which will ask you to choose your most favorite fighter from FreeSpace 2. You don't have to register; just point and click. The ship that wins the majority vote will be one of the two ships from FreeSpace put in the image. Please help us out by casting your vote. Thanks!

I think when you think FS1, the Apollo or Hercules stands out as the leading GTA fighter. For FS2, I'd say the Myrmidon is the stand-out there.

Oh ugh...the Myrmidon? Puh-leese....

How about something with some aesthetics to it? Like maybe the Perseus? Or perhaps the Artemis?

The Myrmidon is the 'not quite' fighter....not quite fast enough, not quite tough enough, not quite enough weapons.

um.. you hippies missed my point. My point was those are the like the flagship fighters of the GTA. Not the coolest or the best, necessarily, but definately the "main" ones.

As for my flavorit Vasudan fighter, that'd have to be the.. um... er... In FS1, Horus. FS2, the Serapis... *gasp*

Favourite Shivan fighter is undoubtedly the Mara. Looks like a spider. =)

And the favourite FS2 Terran fighter? The Perseus.

Favourite bomber is the GTB Medusa.
